Nobel has been seen for years as a leading player in the Dutch jazz scene. His albums Flow (2012), Legacy (2014) and Social Music (2016) received so much praise that Jazzism even stated that "the future of jazz has risen". As an international jazz soloist, he has since given concerts in more than 20 countries worldwide; from Brazil to Australia, from Russia to Ghana. He played with, among others, Frank McComb (US), Jef Neve (B), Hans and Candy Dulfer, Jazz Orchestra Of The Concertgebouw, Ntjam Rosie, Frazey Ford (CAN) and many others.

Teus also worked as a solo trumpet player with the Royal Netherlands Air Force Orchestra from 2010 to September 2019. The whole of the Netherlands was able to see and hear him as a he played the Taptoe signal on the May 4 commemoration on Dam Square in Amsterdam a few years ago.
In preparation for the new album Journey Of Man, 10 years after completing his jazz bachelor, Teus decided to follow a jazz master's study. Teus graduated cum laude in 2018 and immediately afterwards recorded his new album, with top Dutch musicians with whom he has been playing for years. The open, modal character of many of the compositions on Journey Of Man gives his Liberty Group full freedom to come to the most pure form of improvised music: that area where musical decisions can be made every second which will turn compositions completely upside down.

Pianist Alexander van Popta, artist in focus on North Sea Round Town 2019, discovered music through his parents' record collection. Jazz by Keith Jarrett and Miles Davis, pop via Simply Red, Sting and Sade. The star of Alexander Popta is rising, witness his full agenda with, among others, Benjamin Herman, Teus Nobel and the Metropole Orchestra. He enjoyed the collaboration with the orchestra so much that he was asked to make arrangements for the Knoop Gala and the anniversary concert of Trijntje Oosterhuis. He particularly enjoyed working with conductor John Clayton. "It has grown me tremendously".

We have known bass player Jeroen Vierdag for years from his crazy driving play on bass guitar with the Ploctones (with Anton Goudsmit). Insiders have long known that he is also in his element with the double bass. He graduated cum laude at the Amsterdam Conservatory in 2000 and played inter alia with Lucas van Merwijk and Leonardo Amuedo (Trio A.M.V.) Francien van Tuinen, Ed Verhoeff, Amina Figarova, Bart Wirtz, Ferial and Nueva Manteca.

The young Belgian percussionist Tuur Moens completes this great quartet. He is widely praised for his never-ending versatility in styles consisting of jazz, Latin, African and Brazilian rhythms. He enchants his audience with an ever-present heartbeat of his ensembles.
