Marc van Garsse has more than earned his spurs with his double bass in the Belgian jazz scene. In 1977 he founded the quartet Jazzcircle, which brought him name recognition. He played at almost all Belgian jazz festivals and jazz venues, including with jazz greats such as Art Farmer, Charles McPherson, Dave Pike, and the Belgians Toots Thielemans and Bert Joris.
Tonnie Krijger has been playing guitar since he was 14 years old and during that time was influenced by well-known jazz guitarists such as Herb Ellis, Jim Hall, Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery and Django Rheinhardt. He played in various bands and was a permanent guitarist with John White Big Band [later Big Swing Band] for 28 years.
His love for jazz music is reflected in his wonderfully passionate guitar playing when he plays his solo work, but also during his accompaniment with beautifully colored jazz chords. We look forward to welcoming you to our performance.
See you at SonnyB Jazz3.
