An American woman was advised by her therapist to let her husband speak French during sex. That would take the inhibitions off both him and her. In the evening, like a true 'Jean-Jacques', he whispered French words in her ear and miraculously: their marriage was saved!
Frank Mercelis is also inspired by this advice. He takes the sensuality and rhythm of the French language with him in this performance ; a personal, intimate and at times sensual musical narration. This time, together with pianist Antoon Offeciers, Mercelis will not only perform French chansons, but also his own songs, arrangements of existing songs and painful stories about sexual escapades, a life as a half castrato and the voices in his head. Olga, the prettiest girl from the first aid course is there. And also Marilou, the neighbor from his native village. And Grace Jones, of course.
