Monica Coronado was born and raised in Barcelona. Her parents are originally from Castilla de la Mancha. She often heard flamenco music in her father's car. At the age of 25 she went on a musical world tour with her guitar. During this period she got exposed to different music styles. She eventually ended up in the Netherlands via Cuba, America and India. In Arnhem she studied light music. Manito started playing the guitar at a very early age. He developed his own style on the flamenco guitar. His playing is intuitive and rich in various influences. With his fiery and narrative improvisations, Manito maintains a dialogue with Monica. His name is a direct reference to the French guitar legend "Manitas de Plata"
