Dear visitors, musicians and volunteers,
As of September 25, it will be mandatory as a visitor, musician or volunteer to show a corona admission ticket (international!) in Porgy en Bess. Or, if not available, undergo a rapid test before being admitted. That is a measure imposed by the government that we also support.
This measure ensures that everyone can be sure that the risk of contamination with the coronavirus is reduced to a minimum and that you can stay safe with us. An additional advantage is that we now do not have to observe a 1.5 m distance and that we can again allow a larger number of visitors. You can move freely again.
The public and artists can once again experience magical moments together. We hope that the formalities at the entrance will go smoothly. It shouldn’t be difficult if everyone cooperates.
It will be very safe and many more people will be able to enjoy the performances.

We hope to welcome you in large numbers to our program with something for everyone. Performances are still being added so keep an eye on our newsletters, the website and social media.
If you as a visitor have already bought a ticket for a performance on or after September 25, but you do not want to be checked or tested before access to Porgy en Bess, you can return the ticket free of charge and the purchase price will be refunded. Procedure for visitors,
You will receive a corona admission ticket if you have been fully vaccinated, have a valid recovery certificate or a negative test result of a maximum of 24 hours old. Testing remains free for someone who does not have a recovery or vaccination certificate.
With the Coronacheck app everyone can pick up the corona admission ticket (QR code International). You can also pick up and print a paper version of this via www.coronacheck.nl/print.
The procedure before the start of the performance:
- Outside, in front of Porgy en Bess, your corona ticket + ID will be checked. When the ‘green screen’ lights up at the volunteer’s scanner, you can go in for the ticket check.
- If you come with a group, you will be checked one by one and you will also enter one by one. You can wait for the rest of the group in a specially cordoned off place so that you can search for a place afterwards as a group.
- If you get a ‘red screen‘ at the corona admission ticket + identity check, something is not right. You will be checked again. If you get a red screen again, you are not allowed in. You will be given the opportunity to do a quick test. You can do this yourself in a shielded room in Porgy en Bess.
- With a positive score (= infected) you are not allowed to enter; if the result is negative, you can still look for a place for the performance.
