“Friends of Porgy” are those who cherish Porgy and Bess and the culture in the broader Terneuzen area, and therefore would like to contribute financially to support the goals and objectives of Porgy en Bess.

As a “Friend of Porgy” you enable Porgy and Bess, now and in the future, to continue to provide Terneuzen and Zeeuws-Vlaanderen culture in a broadest sense of the word.

We have relaunched an existing program (Friends of Porgy) to support Porgy and Bess in the coming years, so that we can continue to provide culture.

What are “Friends of Porgy”?

“Friends of Porgy” support Porgy and Bess for at least five years with a minimum donation of 100 Euro per year:

• Porgy and Bess is an ANBI foundation that makes your donations much more than fully deductible from your taxes under the ANBI donations, see more details in the attached ANBI-rekenmodule (Anbi calculator)
  • A minimum donation of 100 Euro per year will costs you net 53 Euro after tax. If you want to give 100 Euro after tax, you can donate 180 Euro to Porgy (depending on your income and the tax rate you are in). Note: if you are uncertain if you qualify for tax deduction consult your tax advisor or e.g. the HR department of your employer
• On our Vrienden van Porgy (friends of Porgy) web-page you will also find the conditions for the tax deduction and a simple five-step plan to become “Friend of Porgy”.
• You are already familiar with the conditions and you want to become a “Friend of Porgy” (click here to go to registration form)

“Friends of Porgy” awards you the following extra benefits if you make a gross contribution of at least Euro 100 per year for at least five years:.

• Every year, 20% discount on ten “non premium” events
• Once a year a “Friends of Porgy” evening, with music and Euro 10 drinks coupon
• Mentioned in our programs in the “Friends” section.
